Service With a Bad Attitude
Beware of Dr. Lisciandro. I took my 9 mo. old kitten to this clinic twice within three days time because of continuous vomiting. My other cat had similar symptoms but was much better off than he was. This vet wanted me to spend $1400 dollars for an unnecessary surgery after seeing some abnormality on the x- rays, but the radiologist whom he sent the x-rays to disagreed with him as did another vet that I took my cat to. The other vet diagnosed him with a hairball and said the other cat was most likely having the same issue. After receiving medication my cat has been much better. Overall, I spent about $1200 for a hairball which you would think the er vets should have been able to figure out. Thank God I didn't let this incompetent vet perform unnecessary surgery on my baby. On top of everything else he got an attitude with me on the phone when I mentioned that my other cat had similar symptoms when he was trying to push me to go spend another $250 for an ultrasound, he said " I will not speak to you about the other cat," in a very condescending tone. I replied by telling him that he is very rude and asked shouldn't he take the other cat into consideration while making his diagnosis considering the fact that his symptoms were very similar. I guess in an attempt to make himself feel better he said that I had interupted him, which i didn't, and that now he would listen to me about my other cat. Can we say "arrogant." He also got short with me and told me that he already explained everything to my husband. I told him I am not my husband and after spending so much money already I want my questions answered about why my cat was already vomiting the minute he came home from there. I was also told by a local vet that this is not the first time he has heard that Dr. Lisciandro is very rude to people. Beware.
