Stauffers is a great combination...
* part road-side stand (fresh produce)
* part nursery (flowers and plants)

good food (for a chain)
I enjoy swinging by Panera Bread for an occasional sandwich or snack, and they always serve up yummy food. But personally I prefer to enjoy the wonderful Lancaster County foods being offered up by local restaurants instead.

top-notch hard-to-find quality and service
L.H. Brubakers is a rarity... effectively a "mom & pop" store that still manages to compete against the "big box" retailers.

How do they do it?
1. They continue to keep their customers and draw new customers by providing a quality product (not feature-depleted models to hit a target of being the "cheapest") and doing so at a decent price.
2. If/when an appliance breaks down, LHB's service team has a high-caliber team to figure out what is wrong and get it fixed. LHB has their own employees for doing service, and does *not* farm it out to a group of contracted agents with little/no experience.
