Fresh & Easy
It took me a few visits before I fell in love with Fresh & E (FE). I made a visit upon a friends reccommendation and was not lured in by anything at all. The produce department seemed simple. In fact I remember leaving without buying a single item. I didn't like their premade sauces and entrees cause I like to cook all that fresh. They, like TJ's have their own brand at a lower price than big brands. Check out is self check only.
I look back now and wonder how life was before I fell in their midst. The produce department places items on sale to move them quicker. This means at least half off the original price or more. Blueberries for cheap! Roma tomatoes half off. Even those premade sauces and entrees are amazingly delicious and fresh. I bought a tortellini salad with fresh cheese and greens that could have been from a upscale boutique restaurant. The more I shop the more items I try.
My daughter loves to sample the foods. She enjoys some of the healthier items like nuts and berries but loves the cheese puffs and apple juice just as much.
I've never had to wait in line to check out and they bag for you. I think it's fun to scan the items. I like to see how fast I can scan and my daughter enjoys it as well.

At Last Call Neiman Marcus you feel like you've hit the lottery in brilliant goods and designer brands all at a more affordable price than their snobby, ridiculously priced stores. When you enter Last Call you don't feel as if you stepped inside an outlet store. But lo and behold there you are staring at Cosa Bella underwear for less than you would pay at a high end boutique. Your mind will race at all the affordable possibilities.
I always end up in the young girls section and find myself saying "That's cute" over and over. When I glance down at the tag I'm prepared for sticker shock. I am usually shocked how affordable it is even comprable to an ordinary item at Gap.
The quality is always good. If you are looking for designer jewelry or handbags, name brand beauty products, this year's "It" jean or luxurious decor at a good price make Last Call your first stop!

Lolita, Lolita! I am a big fan of this authentic tasting taqueria with locations all over San Diego. When I feel the need for great tasting Mexican food I don't have to go over the border to find it in San Diego.
Little strip malls sometimes offer the best surprises and Lolita's is one of them. The Bonita location is right off the main road in and out of town so it's convenient to stop. This tiny location is always packed so get in line. Staff is very efficient in getting orders to the kitchen. The back of the house takes a little longer as they prepare your mouth watering meal. Carne asada. Pollo asado. Chili verde, mmm.
Pick an item on the menu and you will hit a winner. Their meats are tender and well seasoned so their burritos are outstanding. I always have to have rolled tacos with guacamole! That's usually what I order here in SD.
I do wish their salsa was a bit different. The taste doesn't really hit home with me. Other than that I get all tingly when I'm about to eat at Lolita's!

As far as I am concerned authentic Mexican food doesn't get any better or cheaper or faster.
Every Roberto's I've eaten at has the same great taste and quality. The stores and locations are all unique but the food remains great tasting!
Their salsa is the best! They usually offer two or three...hot, mild and green. I go for the hot and a lot of it!
I always order the rolled tacos with guacamole. They are deep fried but this doesn't stop me from indulging! They smother the taquitos in fresh guacamole and sprinkle Mexican cheese on top! Sabroso! My husband always orders the carne asada burrito which is meat, salsa and guacamole only. I prefer beans and rice in my burritos so I custom order those.
Where else can you drive thru and recieve some of the best Mexican food San Diego has to offer.

Target stores have everything. If you are not shopping Target you may be wasting time and money.
Target offers cool clothes by designer Mossimo for adults as well as children. They have so many sale items with incredible savings. I can't walk by the girls section without snagging an adorable bathing suit or pair of jeans. The beauty department is stocked with great deals on brands like Boots (No. 7) and Alba for sunsceens or lotions.
I can spend hours in Target and find something for everyone in the family.
They also offer special $5 gift cards when you purchase two select items.
The place is always full of helpful employees and if no one is around you can even scan an itemyourself to find the price. Easy.
I adore the garden center. It's a great place to find affordable outdoor furniture.
