Great Breakfast spot
This is another one of those great beachside breakfast places, pretty good food and okay prices.
If you live near Solana Beach, this is definitely a breakfast place I would recommend to you. They make some of the best bagels around town, and it's all pretty reasonably priced. Some of their coffee drinks are really good, but on the stronger side caffeine-wise.
Perfect place to pick up breakfast before you head out to the beach. They definitely have something for everyone's tastes.
Be sure to check this place out if you are going to be near the Solana Beach area.

Nice Place
I like this place overall. It's not my favorite Italian spot in North County, probably top ten, but it's still got some pretty good food. It's on the more expensive side of my tastes, but some of their dishes are really good.
This is definitely meant to be a high-end date night spot in Del Mar, and if that's your thing, this place is definitely worth a look. Chicken Parmesan is amazing!
They also have a great wine selection, and they do an excellent job of pairing wines with your dish for you. Check it out if you're in town!

World Famous Racetrack!
What more can I say about the World Famous Del Mar Thoroughbred Club that hasn't been said already?
This place is an institution, not just in SD, but in all of Southern California. Opening Day is one of the biggest days of the year in SD, and if you're lucky enough to get to go, one of the funnest as well.
But even going here on a random weekday is fun too. And the summer concert lineup can't be beat! They always cater to everyone's tastes, and they always have amazing groups come to play after the races.
And let's not forget that great BeerFest every year!
