We bought an old house from an estate as a fixer upper and found that there was a heavy closet door with a pretty substantial lock on it for which we had no key. After trying to pick the lock for half an hour my husband gave up. When he went to work I called this locksmith who came right over and opened the lock. It was really old and apparently from Europe â not an American made lock so the locksmith took it out and replaced it with an American lock. His fee was very reasonable. When my husband came home from work I told him that I got the closet open . . . and I showed him what was inside . . . five really old rifles and a couple of really old pistols! He thinks that they may be worth a LOT of money!
