Charlie's Fish House Seafood Market

It was late at night and we had just arrived in Crystal River. There wasn't a huge selection of restaurants to pick from. Charlie's was an interesting place but the service was so very very slow. My food was forgettable - I think I had shrimp. However what was memorable was we had alligator as an appetizer. It did taste a bit like chicken!

Maks Tune & Smog

Need a smog check for the DMV? Go to Maks. Drive by, stop in. The waiting room is 2 chairs and a stack of magazines but you are not there very long. By the time you've read one article, your vehicle is ready and all paperwork has been sent to the DMV. Very easy, no frills, very honest.

La Fiesta Taqueria

This is a very festive and popular hangout where Spanish is the primary language. I've gotten assistance from the regulars as to how to ask certain dishes be prepared and with what extra spices. While the menudo and the tongue taco were not to my liking, there is so much else on the menu that is tasty.
