Voted for Fidels Little Mexico
Fidel's is a great and very authentic Mexican food restaraunt off the beaten path in Solana Beach. It is off the beaten path on Stevens and Genevieve but it is like a charming old Spanish house. A big house with many levels but it is very charming in it's atmosphere. The food is tremendous and the margaritas are outstanding.

Very good family dentist in the Del Mar area. They will actually give you virtual goggles to wear while getting your service don that allow you to watch your favorite moving while getting your teeth cleaned or what ever.

For my money if I am going to eat in Newport, there is no place like Mastros Ocean Club. It has the best food an atmosphere I have found. It is like eating in the middle of a night club. It is an exciting place to dine and the people watching can't be beat. If you ever have the chance to visit their original steakhouse in Scottsdale or Beverly Hills, I totally recommend it. Also the best steakhouse bar none in the country! Same great atmosphere.

Joey's Smokin BBQ is a great place in Carlsbad and Carmel Valley for local BBQ. Refreshing since there are few BBQ places in the area. It is great to dine in or order and take home. We have had parties and work functions catered and were very impressed. <br />

It is nice to go into local business and see owner's like Joey waiting to say hello to his guests. I recommend all the food, especially the burgers.

Thank God Carlsbad has a new restaurant option like Bistro West. The ambiance is great. I recommend the bar with it's Plasma T.V.'s and nice mixture of low and high tables and also a couple booths. Happy hour has nice selections and the menu is a great mix of low to high end fare so you can go on a budget or splurge if you want. I think the food is great. The pot pie is huge and the spare ribs and filet combo is unbeatable.
