Two words, "Tourist Trap". I should have known when the place was empty on a Thursday nigth for dinner however we had a gift card and figured we would check it out. Yes the view is beautiful but that is about it, the food is average at best and completley overpriced.
Like all the Karl Strauss Restaurants I have been to (Carlsbad and Sorrento Valley) the food is good, the beer selection is exceptional and the service is excellent.
There are two Fisherman restaurants directly across from each other on the San Clemente Pier, not sure the differnece, I think one is self seating. What's not to like, incredible view, great seafood, tasty Bloody Mary's, did I mention the view. It's about a 45 minutes from San Diego and well...more
If you are tired of the same old thing than I highly recommend The Guild. A bit off the beat and path in Barrio Logan, which to me adds to it's appeal, the food is inventive and fabulous and the decor, design and ambiance is all that and a bag of chips. It's almost like a progressively modern 5 star diner, if that makes sense
