*The store is located in Strasburg in the Lancaster County. The store offers a wide and huge selection of train models and supplies. Whether you like to build your own little train or just buy one to decorate your house, you will love this shop! In addition to old fashion train model, they also sell electric trains and railroad tracks. They also have a bunch of books, DVDs, clothes, mugs, mouse pads, puzzles, and even rubber ducks related to trains and railroads. It is such a great store to browse regardless of your age. They also offer good prices and occasional discounts.

Voted for Sloppy Janes
*Sloppy Janes Café and Deli is a privately owned local sandwich shop. The owner, Jane, is a nice lady who is always in good spirit. I haven’t been to the shop for a while and I heard that she is having serious illness these days. I hope she gets well soon. But talking about the sandwich shop, it is a nice little place to have lunch or snacks. My favorites are chicken cheese steak, turkey cheese toaster, and the basket meal oysters and French fries. They even have cheesecakes and corn nuggets. You won’t spend more than $10 on lunch at this place but I can guarantee that you would still have a good lunch.

Voted for Accomac Inn Inc
*This is one of the most notable and pricey restaurants in Lancaster. Driving from Lancaster, you would have to take Route 30 and cross the Susquehanna River. I have heard a lot of spooky things about this restaurant. I heard that there was a murder going on in the 1900s and then the inn was burned down in the 1930s and was rebuilt. It was a complicated story but the restaurant looks really nice.
*The cuisine is French-American. There are five private dining rooms and people can reserve to hold parties or special events. The most impressive is the colonial décor and the lit fireplace on the first floor.
*Don’t expect to leave this restaurant without shedding more than $50 per person (entrée typical costs around $30 to $35 each). The meals are delicious and exceptional and so as the price.
Voted for Checkers Bistro
*Checkers Bistro is located on James Street. If you drive from the College Avenue (near Franklin and Marshall College), you need to take the West James Street and Checker Bistro will be on you right.
*The interior décor of the place is a combination of French and modern American. You would see pieces of artworks hanging here and there in the restaurant. The most eye-catching spot in the room is the bar which offers a variety of wine, beers, and special drinks such as my favorite, Rasbarita. Although dishes for the most part are delicious (and a few small plates give wonder taste), they are quite pricey. A sandwich typically costs around $10 and the procini dish can cost as much as $32.
Voted for Ming Court Buffet
*Like many Chinese buffets in Lancaster, Ming Court claims to offer over 100 dishes in their all-you-can-eat buffet. I didn’t actually count the dishes but they did offer a great variety. By the way, they offer buffet only at night. During the day, you would have to pick from the menu or choose take-out like you would do other Chinese restaurants. I don’t really see anything special about this restaurant because most dishes they offer are repetitive and similar to other Chinese places. What makes it stands out is that it has snow crab legs every night (and even that is not so distinguishable because I know other places farther down Lancaster that does the same thing).
