Adventure in Acting 1pm-4pm, Grades 3-5 This is a basic acting class that will explore creating characters, acting games, theatre jargon and rules, and stage fright. JULY 19-24 & 25 Characterization Workshop 9am-12 Noon, Grades 6-8 This is a characterization workshop that will focus on creating interesting and fun characters through acting games, scene study, and improvisation. JULY 19-24 & 25 Improvisation 1pm-4pm, Grades 9-12 This is an improvisation class where students will learn to create characters with moment by moment acting. JULY 26-31 & AUGUST 1 Improvisation 9am-12 Noon, Grades 6-8 This is an improvisation class where students will learn to create characters with moment by moment acting. Story time Theatre 1pm-4pm, Preschool-Grade 2 Students will create familiar characters (Disney, Dr. Seuss, Fairytales, and others) by listening to stories and then visualizing how these characters look, walk, and talk. AUGUST 9-13 Scene and Monologue Workshop 9am-12 Noon, Grades 9-12 Students will learn how to study a script and create a character using various acting techniques. They will perform a scene or monologue for the showcase. Imagination Station 1pm-4pm, Grades 3-5 This basic acting class will focus on creating characters and scenes through an introduction to Improvisation. Rules of acting, stage directions, and theatre jargon will be learned as well.
