Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and a wide variety of food aside from the standard coffee shop menu.

Love the breakfast, especially the hashbrowns! Great scrambled eggs, awesome french toast and ham. Portions are great. People are very friendly. This is a great place to eat if your on a budget, plus there is plenty of parking.

I am a fixture at this cafe. eveything is homemade and it tastes like it. The breakfasts are the best from the homemade corned beef hash, that will change your life, the made from scratch biscuits and gravy and the french toast with the candied bananas. Lunch is equally outstanding from the homemade soup, the tastes like moms meatloaf, and the ribs on special on fridays. This rustic cafe is a must visit if you want comfort food the way it is supposed to be. (even the carrots are to die for)

The Yellow Rose Cafe... This is a place I have been going to for years. My friends and I are usually there at least once a week. The people there are great. Its a non-alcoholic version of Cheers. Everyone knows everyone, and if your not known... you soon will be. They are very very friendly. The Owners, the waitress', have always been great. It's also a down to earth, home style cooking that is hard to find in the city of Chicago. The owner likes to throw in his own touch to his food, which just makes it that much better. He likes to make a few of his dishes from scratch. All I know is the great staff and great food, keep me coming back for more. The Yellow Rose Cafe is defenatly one of my top places to eat when I'm in the mood for some good cookin'.
