Yanni's Bistro is my favorite restaurant in San Diego County, bar none. I love its northern Mediterranean dishes. It serves excellent cuisine in a pleasant, but not ostenatious or overly stuffy, atmosphere. There's an extensive wine list, as well.
Pros : First-rate food.
Cons : Not easy to find. It's in a corner of a tiny shopping center in Poway near the Scripps Ranch border.
