Really tender calamari
Yanni's is the only place I've had calamari tender enough to eat in a sandwich. I love it so much, I've ordered it as a dinner entree, too. Really good lunch specials and if you check their website you can sometimes find a coupon for a free dessert!

everything here is great from the wine selection, happy hour to dinner. the service is great and the beef tenderloin skewers are the best things on earth!

Yanni's Bistro is my favorite restaurant in San Diego County, bar none. I love its northern Mediterranean dishes. It serves excellent cuisine in a pleasant, but not ostenatious or overly stuffy, atmosphere. There's an extensive wine list, as well.
Pros: First-rate food.
Cons: Not easy to find. It's in a corner of a tiny shopping center in Poway near the Scripps Ranch border.

The prices are a bit expensive here, but you get what you pay for. The food is excellent and well worth the trip to go there. The service is typically good, though one time it wasn't. All in all very good!
