I have been going to Yamak for about 2 years now, and I have always had a great experience. The selection is great. Unique finds with up and coming designers. It has a true boutique feeling. The service is excellent. The sales staff is very helpful. They have a great eye for design, and they are very honest about what looks good on you. Each location carries different merchandise, so be sure to check out both!

Not good!!!!!! I went to the 23rd & 5th ave location looking for a new handbag. From the second I walked in I was greeted with a nasty attitude, to the point where I felt uncomfortable. I bought a $500 dollar bag and when purchasing it I repeatedly asked the sales girl if I could return the bag and get the full amount back and she said "you have 7 days for a full refund". Later that evening I found the bag in another boutique for $100 cheaper, so the following day I went back to return the original bag but found out they only give store credit. I explained myself to the short, pear-shaped girl behind the counter, saying that i specifically asked if I could get a full refund and was told yes. Her response was, "I doubt that, but I guess the customer's always right." I then received a dirty look for 10 minutes while receiving a refund! I liked the store but this girl has to go. I would've went back if it weren't for her!!!!

No need for downtown girls to trek to the Upper East Side for their work and nightlife gear. Yamak has Nanette Lepore suits and party tops. We challenge you to find the fabulous ...

I live right around the corner from this part of Bleecker street, so I do most of my shopping right on the block. This boutique is probably my most favorite one out of all the ones on this stretch -- the sales girls are always helpful and have a great eye for what will look good on you, they always carry the hot, young nyc designers, and you're FOR SURE going to find something you like that NONE of your friends will have. They carry everything from Nannette Lapore to LaRok to Yumi Kim.

Go here if you want to satisfy a craving for something that will look great on you, and that is sure to be a unique find. Be careful though, once you step into the dressing room, you'll for sure leave with whatever you've tried on (the sales girls can be pretty persuasive...)
