If you want to learn to make pottery or just buy great pottery this is the place to come

I have taken 5 classes at Xiem over the last 2 years. The classes are relatively small (largest I was in had 6 students) and were offered at hours that worked with my schedule. My interactions with the artists were positive and I found others who were willing to help me with suggestions. I have tried community college classes and find this atmosphere far better for me. The retail shop is nice and the classroom facility is quite amazing.

The guy teaching wheel turning is rude and even threatening! When I left his class because of his abusive remarks, and took a class with a different teacher, the first one would stand off and try to stare me down! I ignored him, but weird vibes haunt the place,which I noticed from the first, what with very superior artistes hanging out here and there watching us newbies struggle. (There is only one classroom).

But if your talented and work hard you can possibly learn wheel turning or clay sculpture, the second choice is far the better. The world doesn't need more stoneware plates and jugs.
