I stopped into this place on a Tuesday night in the summer, and there was quite a long wait. But since my boyfriend had raved about the Ahi tuna appetizer, I decided to be patient. The food was as good as he’d promised (including $1 shrimp tacos served on certain nights), and the friendly service and beach views were bonuses. World Famous may not be a hidden gem for locals in the know, but if you're out for a walk on the PB boardwalk one weeknight and find yourself craving some cheap fish/shrimp/lobster tacos and a lively atmosphere, stop in. Did I mention the Ahi tuna appetizer (read: 4 thick slices for $8—and only $4 when they run their half-price specials).

World Famous is by far my favorite place at the beach. They have the best Bloody Mary(s), and insanely good tacos (hint - ask for their homemade salsa).

World Famous lives up to it's name. Great restaurant and bar right on the boardwalk in Pacific Beach. Great menu and especially when it comes to fish dishes

Nice view and the food is alright. Breakfast is better than dinner. Check out Firehouse or Green Flash instead.

I recently stopped by World Famous for some apps. I was very pleasantly suprised, everything we ordered was excellent. I recommend the prime rib bites with horshradish dipping sauce. The fish taco was good to.

It's located right on the ocean so the view and ambiance is very cool. The staff is a little slow to serve but they eventually get to you.
Pros : Great apps, on the beach.
Cons : They could use a few fans on the outdoor patio, it gets a little stuffy on a hot summer day. Parking can be difficult.
