This is Patty Connell. I'm the owner of Woodbrae Kennels and I'd like to respond to Megan Cs posting. There appear to be some very serious misunderstandings that I'd like to clear up. First, I've been the one and only owner of Woodbrae Kennels since 1983. I managed the kennel for 3 years prior to purchasing it, so I've been here for 28 years. I don't know where the information about a new owner comes from - but it's not accurate.
Regarding information received from an ex-employee - if you've ever had to fire an employee you understand how disgruntled they can be, and how they might want to say hurtful and untrue things. My current staff has been with me for many years, so this would have to be someone who was fired many years ago.
I was voted the Best Kennel in Los Gatos by the residents. I have won numerous other awards as well. No animal in my care is ever neglected, I can promise you. I take enormous pride in the care that we provide for our guests.
Regarding medication, we keep VERY detailed records on every medication given - special feedings, anything requested. These charts are dated, initialed, and kept. I have all of those charts available to show any customer that would like to review the records to ensure that the proper medication has been given. I'm more than happy to provide this to any customer.

I'm very sorry that misinformation has been given, and has probably caused Megan some concerns. I am always available to discuss any questions or comments regarding the care that we provide.

Thanks for the opportunity to set the record straight

I used to love Woodbrae kennels and would only take my dog there, as would the rest of my family, but apparently the new ownership has really let the place slide. An ex employee told us that the owners and some of the staff are on d r u g s, and were neglecting duties completely. This is extremely frightening to me since my dog is on medication that he needs twice a day (and I pay extra for him to get his meds at the times he needs them).

I was a little suspicious the last couple of times I have taken him there because things just seemed off. They would tell me he ate all of the food I left with him, which I know isn't possible. His meds are in a daily container and some that he should have had were still in the case, but others were missing. Every time I pick him up, no matter what time of day, he would immediately run over to the grass in front to go to the bathroom, and he can hold it for a long time, which makes me think he wasn't getting out enough. Now that I have confirmation that things are bad there, I will never take my pets there again.

It's sad because I used to really like them, and still really like some of the staff, but I can't trust them anymore.

This kennel is great!! We have taken our dogs to several kennels, and we always take them here now. Our dogs get excited when we pull up, and the staff remembers our dogs by name. Great place to go, where you do not worry about your pets when you are gone.‎

Apparently, the guy below me never "Toured" this kennel. It runs on a septic system that is continually back up and dog crap is everywhere and the smell of it reaches the street. The place is filthy and should be shut down. Plus, The employess are a bunch of "Meth Heads" i can tell just by looking at them. They look all spun out and one young lady that works there is unbelievably rude and arrogant. They treat the dogs like garbage and ALL DOGS are locked up in very small cages overnight sitting in thier own feces while the old hag owner is constantly watching QVC.This is not heresay, this is a fact witnessed by myself. This place is a disgrace and the owner should be ashamed of herself. Do yourself a favor, Have a friend or relative watch your dog when you go on vacation. Most Kennels in this town are a friggin' nightmare. Peace.‎

This is the best kennel there is! They really care about your dog and it's the cleanest kennel I've ever seen. My dog gets excited everytime I pull up to the driveway - they treat him like family :) I've been coming here for a very long time and have never been anything but happy.
