A very good place to take your pet
Dr. Winnie's knowledge and technical abilities are excellent and he gives good guidance to pet owners. The staff is warm and friendly. The genuine concern for animals that both Dr. Winnie and his staff have is evident.‎

Extremely competent and caring
I took my cat to see Dr. Winnie for a dental cleaning and extraction, and both he and his staff were incredibly attentive and caring to my baby. Dr. Winnie sure knows his stuff! He gave me a detailed but useful explanation of what was wrong with my cat, and what he was doing to alleviate her pain and treat her problem. The surgery went off without a hitch, and my cat is doing great! I even got to hang out with her in the holding area after her surgery, and I got a chance to see how well attended to all of the other animals were also. I would recommend Dr. Winnie and his staff with no reservation!‎

Good medical service, expensive
We recently went to GVH as a new patient with my son's cat for a simple neuter and vaccine. When we went for the pre-surgery visit we filled out the new patient paperwork, waited for some time in the front lobby and then were told to just bring him in on the surgery day. Surgery day came and our new patient paperwork had been lost so we had to fill it out again, this wasn't a big deal in and of itself, however, when we picked him up we were charged a little less than double what I had expected/been quoted. The new fee included various office visit fees. I don't object to the fee(s) I was charged per say, I object to being quoted one price over the phone and recieving a very different price after the procedure had already been performed and I had no other recourse. A simple neuter and a rabbies vaccine cost me $180.00, of which I expected to be charged about $105 given phone conversations. The surgery seems to have been painless and efficient, the office experience was ...

Don't Hesitate Trying This Vet!
I have been going to GVH for over 20 years, and have been more than satisfied. Dr. Winnie is compassionate, communicative and sensible. My dog is now 18 years old, thanks to following Winnie's recommendations. The staff is warm and friendly and most understanding during difficult times when pets are in decline. I trust Dr. Winnie's intelligence and "science", and appreciate his love for animals, which is evident in his handling of my dogs and cats. I wondered who could ever replace Dr. Babik, whom I also liked and trusted. Dr. Winnie has earned my respect and trust without question through surgeries and treatments and excellent recommendations for caring better for my pets.‎
