In the heart of Hillcrest, this is a great place where anyone can find a friendly person to talk to. This place has a good vide, some great wine, and tasty pizza. Staff is usually cool... Not a stuffy wine bar, there is usually classic rock playing, plus they also have some good beer, try the Samuel Smith, but stay away from sangria...
Funky, ecclectic wine shop where you can purchase by the glass or indulge in some wine retail therapy and walk out with anything from a bottle to a case. The food is surprisingly inexpensive and good, just enough to complement the wine.
You can enjoy a cigar outside or meet with a group of friends inside. There is even a back room for private parties.
Unlike most other wine shops, Wine Steals doesn't require a degree in oenology to feel comfortable. The staff works equally well with the novice all the way to bona fide wine snob.
Pros : Prices are terrific, staff knowledgable, selection of wines superb.
Cons : Always a bit difficult to park in Hillcrest, but...
