I realize we live in a capitalistic society and everyone has to (and should) make a profit, but the owners of this store have everything marked up to such an extent that buying a simple chewy toy for your dog is a major expenditure.
I agree that small businesses can be a welcome relief from the corporate giants like Petco and Petsmart, but when a single dingo bone costs more than the price of an 8 pack at Petco, I say do your homework and watch your dollar, like we all have to do in this economy. This store is more of a convenience (when you can't get to a cheaper place) but if you're looking for a decent price, keep driving. Want to buy a dried (pig grade) corn cob here to feed the squirells? 99c per cob. I pay less for the corn I eat myself at the over-priced grocery stores. Enough said.
