I highly recommend this salon!‎‎
I went to see Oneal last Wednesday for a cut and color. It was a great experience! His salon is in Santa Ana's City Walk (I believe it's called) close to Mother's Market. It's in a real cool three-story loft and the salon has a very mellow, relaxing vibe. There's no blaring music, loud talking or gossipy "drama" that you have to listen to from the stylists or the customers. I don't know about you, but I like to relax when I get my hair done and couldn't care less about someone else's crappy boyfriend/girlfriend or what happened to them last weekend. When I entered the salon, I was greeted by Ashley at the front desk. She's very nice and polite. Oneal analyzed my hair and really listened to what I wanted. My last cut from Lux Aveda in Anaheim was kind of weird and the ends were flipping up when I had wanted them to curl under. I was going for kind of a shorter bob, with the back being shorter than the front and a more angular look on the sides. Anyway, I got to watch my own flatscreen TV while Veronica, another stylist applied my color. My color turned out great and was exactly what I wanted. Rich brown color for fall but nothing too brassy, and great for my skin tone. My cut from Oneal turned out terrific. I felt like he transformed my hair! He cut my hair wet and then dried it and did some dry cutting, too. I left the salon feeling very happy with my light feeling, chic looking style. Danielle, another stylist there, was doing a few cuts on guys and they all looked fantastic, too. I highly recommend this salon if you want a precise, terrific cut and a nice, relaxing hair salon experience. Everyone that works there is pleasant, too, with no big attitudes or any weird vibe going on. They do ask you if you want to buy the products they used on you, but there is no big hard sell push like at the Aveda Salons. My friend saw Oneal for a cut the week before and her hair looks terrific, too. I highly recommend this salon and will definitely be back!
