I hosted a baby shower today and made my usual day before trip to Wholesale Flowers. I got delayed and arrived at 8:30 (they open at 8am). A smart lady got their early and bought buckets full of flowers that I wanted. I had something in mind (jungle-ish since well, the theme was animal oriented) and then was stuck with no idea what to do. I probably spent twice as much as I should of by just grabbing random stuff.

So the lesson is, they have what they have. They have a lot but if you're going for a particular theme, etc. you'd better have a back up plan. I've called and they confirmed stock and it was sold during my drive over. So still have back up plan.

I love the paper lanterns they have right now - very Martha Stewart. They have reasonably priced, high quality live plants and a gazillion vases. I do love the place....a lot.

They also have decorative items, pots, vases, etc for your home. I also hired them for my wedding and they did this magnificent arch that could've been in Martha Stewart-unreal! Wholesale Flowers is hands down the best florist in San Diego. Daniel and his crew always have the best selection at the best prices (Ok that might be Jerome's slogan), but it's true. We've been buying flowers here for over a decade and always get the best. They've got great supplies, a huge walk-in and creative designers who can give you anything from a single bouquet to decor for an entire wedding.
