I recently bought a pint of Tahoe Creamery ice cream from Whole Foods and it was fantastic. I am a big ice cream fan and thought I would try something a little more local (it is made in Lake Tahoe). Let me tell you, you will not be disappointed. I LOVED the Blueberry. I would strongly suggest Tahoe Creamery ice cream to anyone who loves ice cream.

I have been to three Whole Foods Markets: Berkeley, Walnut Creek, and Sacramento. Although it is not as warm and inviting as Walnut Creek, there is still alot of variety and quality offered here. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and I can always find what I'm looking for, which is usually hard for me (being a vegetarian). Yes, the prices are a little more expensive than say, Safeway or Raley's, but there are many food items for a diet based on wholesome, natural foods that you cannot find anywhere else but here (and maybe Trader Joe's). Some prices are less expensive here, though. Oranges and apples frequently go on sale here...and alot of the vegetarian products are cheaper here than anywhere else. I like this store!

I still like this place but I was so disappointed about the prices, my friend told me about a store on Fulton Ave called Mediterranean Market and I went to check them out, and WOW I am so glad that I did, the place is so nice and organized where you can find a lot of Mediterranean Food much cheaper than Whole Food and fresh, such as the Pita Bread they sell it at $.99 and Whole Food sells it at $1.99.
This is my favorite store it is on my list, you need to check them out, and the owners are very nice and very helpful.

If you like to treat your body like a temple and revere the substance in which you receive energy by, whole foods markets is a great place to shop. A large selection of unique food producers that honor labor laws, resist chemical contamination, and encourage organic farming are all provided in the context of earth safe practices. Pricey but then again, your worth it. BRING YOUR OWN BAGS!!!

It's a wonderful place to shop for wholesome foods. They have a great seafood, meat & cheese. It's very clean and they have alot of different products (pastas, sauces, ect). They also have convenient food that taste great and if you don't have time to cook, just pick something up!

Their vegetables and fruit are a bit more expensive but since they are organic, you pay extra for that kind of produce. Overall, a great place to do some grocery shopping!

PROS: Huge, Clean, Selection
CONS: Produce a bit pricey
