Trying to get additional business
On three separate occasions Wheels Works has attempted to garner additional business for services that were not needed. Each instance occurred when having my tires balanced per the purchase agreement.
The first instance involved them attempting to overwhelm my wife for repairs on the air filter not needed, as verified by the Toyota Dealer.
The second instance involved attempting to sell me struts (because they were on sale), but I obtained a second opinion from the Toyota Dealer that confirmed mine were AOK. This would have been $1,000 hit. I asked Wheel Works on my next visit our my struts were, and they said they were good??????
The last instance involved tinkering with my vacuum hoses on/near the air filter, or rather disconnecting them. This caused my check engine light to come on. I did not notice it until the next morning when I started the vehicle. I took it to the Toyota Dealer, who asked if someone may have been working around the air filter (trying to be nice about the vacuum hoses being disconnected. They told me it looked like someone had did this deed.
Watch out for this group, they on the take.
