I went there to get my terrier and my boxer groomed, and I must say they did an excellent job for a reasonable price. They were really nice and down to earth. It's nice to see a small business surviving in these times. I would recommend for anyone to go there as you pay much more at other places and get half the service for the double the price, trust me go and you will see.

The nicest people! I've been bringing my dogs here for several years and never had a problem...they run into the shop wagging their tails. Unique products and a bit like a New York small shop. I buy everything for my pets there. And to the people who like Petco, by all means go there, will make it easier to get an appointment at Westside Pet Stop. Only con...their always packed but always get us in. The Best!!

I've taken my dog to Westside Pet Stop twice (because I try to give everyone a decent chance) but I will NEVER go there again. The staff is at best uninterested and at worst seriously rude. I didn't much like the cut my dog got the first time, so the second time I brought a picture. The woman said dismissively, "Well it's just a standard puppy cut." So naturally I expected that something so run-of-the-mill would be easy to accomplish. But no, my dog still got exactly the same cut they gave her the first time.


The male owner is amazingly rude, both on the phone and in person, and couldn't be bothered, even as I was tipping his wife better than 20% (for the wrong cut) to give me back my credit card. He said nothing as I left the store without it, and even though they have two phone numbers for me, no one called me. I only realized I didn't have it five hours later and called to see if it was there, when I swear the woman owner said, "Yes it's here, can you come and get it now?" This is the same woman I'd been very polite to and tipped generously not five hours earlier. It was a seriously bizarre experience, and made me feel that she thought his failing to return my credit card was both my fault and a serious inconvenience to her personally.


The Petco groomers are much nicer and more professional than this, including actually asking you how you want your dog groomed -- and listening to you. Actually, I'd even pay double to have a groomer come to my house than ever go to Westside Pet Stop ever again. It was a thoroughly unpleasant experience.

I think most people who will speak badly are trying to keep it a small unknown place so they can always take walk-ins. I take all 4 of my dogs and not one of them doesn't try to run into the store. They love this place. The groomers are gentle and always willing to take them even if they are busy. VERY NICE PEOPLE!!!! I drive a long way just to go to them.
