where is the caring vet?
Unfortunately I had a bad experience at this vet office. First of all the staff was disorganized and not friendly. I must say the associate vet was quite nice, he listened to my concerns and answered my questions on the first visit.
However on our next appointment we were seen by a Dr. Dean. We waited out in the waiting area over 2 hours. My poor dog was getting frustrated which made me so uncorfortable. When the Dr. saw us, it was really quick, he didn't ask how my dog was doing and I could even ask him anything because he was already onto the next patient.
It was kind of funny too because I work in a clinical laboratory so I know what the test results mean but the doctor probably assumed I was too young since he asked for my mother.

Caring Vet
To whom it may concern:
In regards to your posting about your dog being hydrated, you should have ten your animal immediately to a emergency clinic, although it is expensive, it should have been worth to you as a pet owner. Also, you do not relay the age of the dog, anyone knows an elderly animal can encounter alot more difficulties especially in the care of anyone other than the owner.
I have two dogs and two cats, I visit Weston Animal Hospital frequently and even though I do not have the money to pay for their care I do it anyway and worry about the bill later, it is like a child, would I neglect a yearly check up because I do not have the money, NO.
You need to ask yourself if the care you gave your dog was sufficient enough- " did i go the the vet enough?"
Did I notice any simptoms prior to leaving my dog at an animal shelter?
I am not blaming but I have taken my animals to Weston Animal Hospital for a long time, and animals are not blocked from illness, just as humans. Before you blame the Vet, check off all the things you could have done as an owner and to be honest, I never leave my dog in anyone's care knowing he/she is not well.
I wish you the best in your grieving stage but know Weston Animal Hospital are caring people. I have known them for years and their love for ALL animals is evident.

Response to omalleyme
I am sorry to hear that the user omalleyme had a bad experience at this veterinary hospital. I find it hard to believe, since my experience at that clinic has been nothing but positive. I don't know which vet "she" dealt with, but Dr Deane is caring and honest. I also am very happy with the service of the staff. My dog was knoced down by a car and Dr Deane stayed after hours to save my dog's life. He showed his devotion to his profession through undivided nurturing of our pet and us. My friends who use his service all say the same thing. I know that he is also personally involved in finding homes for dogs in need. I just wonder if there's more to the below story. But, thanks Dr Deane for everything!

Weston Animal Hospital
I would definately not recommend this amimal hospital to anyone who loves or cares about their pet. We left our beloved dog at their facility for boarding for 3 nights because we thought she would be safe and well cared for at an animal hospital. We called every day we were gone and got evasive answers about her care and health. We picked her up as the vet was leaving the office and could not talk to him, but the office help told us she was just fine. When they brought her out she was staggering and disoriented and collapsed in the parking lot throwing up undigested pills. We immediately took her to the pet emergency care office and they determined that she had a 105.5 temperature, was severly dehydrated, and was in shock. They worked on her all day, but in the end we had to put her to sleep. I hold the Weston Animal Hoispital directly responsible for her death. We took a happy beautiful, dog in on one morning and four days later after their "tender care" received a dying dog. It breaks our hearts to think that she was left in a cage for four days with no medical attention and so terribly dehydrated and ill that we were deprived of the remaining days of her life. NEVER LEAVE YOUR PET WITH THE WESTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL.THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE ANIMALS IN THEIR CARE OR PROVIDE MEDICAL ATTENTION TO THEM.
