We Take the Cake in Fort Lauderdale does just that. The cake was so good, I demolished more of it than any human being should reasonably eat in one sitting. For that matter, more than any human being should eat in four sittings. I am definitely a customer for life. I will be there every holiday, birthday, mother's day and let's not forget, the random Tuesday.‎

Wonderful cupcakes! Bought some for mothers day... they were a hit! Would definitely buy again!‎

A friend of mine has been talking non-stop about her new favorite store for weeks- and yesterday I found out why because I had my 1st zen experience at We Take the Cake. When you step inside, you immediately feel happy! The shop takes you into another world, free from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The decor is stylish and cute. The staff was so welcoming and knowledgeable about their products. And as for the cake.... WORDS CAN NOT EXPRESS how delicious the chocolate layer cake was. I also bought their world famous Key Lime Cake, which I am supposed to give to a friend for a house warming gift, but I do not know if I can make myself do it at this point!!! I am in love!‎

We got married in Miami, and drove all the way up to Ft. Lauderdale for a tasting because we really didn't like the traditional Edda's or Ana Paz cakes. We were blown away by how good the cake was, even though it was almost $2.00 more a slice than anyone else in Miami, we ordered our cake. The day of the wedding, the top tier of the cake was CROOKED! They tried to hide it with flowers and stuff, but you could tell. Plus, the cake wasn't what we ordered. We paid an extra $1.00 a slice to have fresh strawberries included in one of the tiers, and they were not. Also, the key lime cake was supposed to have key lime curd between the layers on one of the tiers, and they just used the frosting. So they basically ripped us off about $175. I would NEVER use this place again, and I'm making sure I post this on all the wedding websites too. Ana Paz may not be as good but at least the quality and customer service are there.‎

Poor customer service, and I was not particularly impressed with the quality of baked goods for the expense.‎
