I was recently referred by a Friend and purchased cabinets for my kitchen at Walker and Lund Cabinets in Oakland and had an excellent experience. I found them to be very personable, professional, knowledgeable and detail oriented. They are also competitively priced.This is my third kitchen remodel and I have been to some of the other discounted cabinet companies and abhor the service, lack of know how and timeliness for the end product. These ladies have a good product, they are trustworthy and upfront, and delivered earlier than the projected 2 weeks which made both myself and my contractor very happy. I bought the Cherry cabinets and they look great. My kitchen looks custom. We caused a little damage to some of the sides of the cabinets upon installation and were able to order a plywood piece to cover it up. That took a about 4 days, but well worth the wait. Their prices are very reasonable. All in all I paid about $100 dollars more than my least expensive quote, but got piece of mind that all was going to run smoothly and I feel I received better cabinets. I reveived another quote which was $2200 more expensive.My first impressions of this place made me reluctant. This place looks like a boutique type place where you would spend a fortune, but upon meeting with them they I found that they are on the same page as far as saving money goes. The other thing that I Initially thought odd about this place is that I had to make an appointment with them, but after spending an hour there reviewing my plans I can see why. It is a necessary evil because as many times as i have done these projects I realize that I had overlooked several details that could have reulted in disaster. To boot I cant imagine having to wait for the person ahead of me. I highly recommend Walker Lund if your looking for great cabinets in a limited selection of the the latest styles and you really cant

I purchased 3 Shaker Maple cabinets for laundry room 1.5 years ago, and continue to be impressed by the cabinet quality and Walker Lunds support at the time. Am considering redoing my kitchen with the same. Good price and good people to deal with - recommended. Must use phone messages to talk to them and store hours by appt only, otherwise would have received 5 stars.
