Do not take your animal here
I recently boarded my dog here and was extremely disappointed. The place looks a little run down, but I didn't want to judge it on appearance alone. When I got inside, I only saw one staff member for all the dogs present, and the place smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I didn't want to leave my dog, but I had no other choice at this point. They are closed on Sundays, and since it was Saturday, I was forced to board my dog until Monday. When we got back to the house on Monday, my dog ran for the food and water bowl - he was incredibly thirsty and hungry, which made me wonder if he had been fed/watered properly. Also, he had MULTIPLE thick, crusty scabs on his nose and on his leg that were not there before. I called the kennel, and they said he kept trying to stick his nose through the grate, but this is not a problem we've had before when we've boarded him. The scabs are coming off now, and I'm afraid they are going to scar permanently. I am very unhappy with how they treated my pet and will not take him back there, under any circumstances.
