Stayed here with a group of girls for a bachelorette party and loved it. Sleek, neat and a perfect spot to hang out.

The staff was incompetent, slow, and rude. They forgot to clean the room twice in our week-long stay. When they did clean the room, they forgot something. One day no toilet paper, another day no washcloths. When we called for replacements they said "sure" and then never came with them. We checked in at midnight after a long day of travel. They gave us a nice room, but the heater was broken. Their solution was to keep us in the freezing room for 45 mins while we waited for maintenance. The guy could not fix it, so they told HIM to move us to another much smaller, cruddier room. We had to ask to merely be given the same type of room we were originally booked. This place is just awful. Stay here only if you are more interested in looking cool than in receiving competent service.

I lived in N.O. for 6 years, went back this Christmas with my fiance and 16-month-old son. When I booked the reservation I mentioned that I would be traveling with a toddler, and lo and behold there was a crib in the room when we walked in. I brought Baby Einstein videos with me, as Expedia said every room had a VCR. When mine had a DVD player instead, they happily had an engineer switch it out. Service: impeccable. Every request was satisfied, and a phone call followed to make sure of it. Only suggestion: a little more lighting in the rooms, please! (The rooms are definitely designed for more baby-making.) Let's find some dimmers, guys.

As with all W Hotels the beds are heavenly, comfortable and the best in the business. The staff are friendly and helpful, once they know your name they remember it and call you by your name. It's close to the Quarter and the convention center so you can avoid the noise at night. If you're looking for a "traditional" NOLA experience then you might want to look elsewhere. The W is clean with bright colors and very hip and stylish. If you want a more antique and traditional NOLA experience then don't stay here but if you want a hip and stylish experience then this is the place for you. The two bars are relaxing and a nice place to unwind from the day/night. If you go Zoe's try the grilled endive and roasted roma tomato salad, it's the best I've ever had.

GREAT beds. You cannot imagine these things. Trust me, they make it worth the stay. Very good location and value. New Age decor, trendy and cool. I HIGHLY recommend.
