This location is a nice little hideaway on Coast Highway and a favorite place to start our evenings. Downtown Oceanside is having a renaissance and the close proximity to all restaurants and easy parking make this one of our favorite places to spend an evening. After a glass or two (or three) and a little friendly chatter, we will often walk to 333, to Vigilucci's, or over to Harney Sushi. Some of the restaurants offer a "no corking fee" for wines you buy at Vine to Glass. So, we have been known to pick up a bottle to go too. Vine to Glass specializes in small volume production wines. What we find here are unique wines that you can not generally pick up at BevMo. They have beer tasting too for those that may not enjoy the grape. The staff is well educated and very friendly without ANY of the airs. The net result is exceptional tasting, reasonable prices, and a comfortable friendly environment.

Small production wines from all over the world that you won't find in the grocery store make this a must do destination. The staff can help you with wine education or just keep you in very good company with great service. Try it, like it and take a bottle (or more!) home with you. The wines are excellent and personally chosen by the staff and owners who don't carry anything that doesn't meet their personal standards. Also try the local mirobrews and check out the wine accessories. They're great!

The first time you go into this place, you might think - hmm, this has potential - but then your realize that their employees are not knowledgable, the tasting selection doesn't change, and that the wines are all comparable to 2-buck chuck. I would also caution against ordering the cheese plate because the cheeses are the cheapest ones you can buy from the grocery store and for the $15.00 they charge, you could buy a heck of a lot more and just take it home. Not worth the time or the money.
