They Don't Care Because They Don't Have To
To be fair, there are the brief moments when you can find a employee that is helpful and happy, but fot the most part they whine to each other and customers about how busy they are.
On most occassions you are met with a surly or indifferent attitude. Their idea of customer service is to say: "They don't know, they don't have it or they will call over the loud speaker to get someone else to help you. HELP never arrives. When you approach them to inform them that no one has come to help, they always say, "Well I called them over the loud speaker" and walk away.
Clearly they believe people won't make the trip elsewhere to buy their items. Some training in customer service and product knowledge is called for. Customers don't want to hear that they have a hard time finding good help. It's your job as a successful store owner or manager to see that this training is done.
If you need some items for your fix it projects, I suggest heading in to Truckee or Carson City to get what you need.
