Worked with 2 sales associates over a period of 4-5 days; both were excellent, went out of their way to satisfy my fairly picky objectives, and were extremely patient with my intermittent indecisiveness. The selection of furnishings in the store, in various price ranges, looked terrific. The overall enjoyable tenor of the experience extended to the two delivery guys, who were both pleasant and expeditious. In sum, I like what I bought (table & 4 chairs) and was highly satisfied with how I was treated as a customer. (Note - Don't have the necessary information to assign a price range as requested by this review format, but it's clearly broader than $1 - $5.)

This place is OVERPRICED!

The selection is decent, but don't expect any great deals here at all. Being situated relatively close to IKEA doesn't help make the casual furniture shopper (or college student) particularly fond of this place.

Granted, IKEA furniture is not meant to last, but if you are in the market to buy something of value, you wouldn't expect to go to Viking Trader anyway. IKEA is recommended over this place.

Viking Trader is by far my favorite furniture store in the Bay Area. They have a nice combination of "Mom & Pop-store" atmosphere, proffessional service, and good taste.
