As I tried to make an appointment at Verrazano Radiology all I kept getting was a voice-mail announcement from someone named Ann Marie which said she was busy with someone else on another line or away from her desk and to please leave a message about oneself and phone number. My first try with that, I waited for hours for a call back. I didn't receive a call until the next day at 9 am on my voice-mail at home and I didn't hear it until I came home from work at 3:30 pm. I called back right away and got the same results as the day before. This went on a few more times until I gave up. I called my doctors office and his assistant was out that day. I gave up and weeks later the doctors assistant called me to see how far I'd gotten with my tests so that when I come in for my appointment we could discuss on how we were to proceed with curing me. The assistant could not believe what I was going through and ended up making all the arrangements for me to take the tests and x-rays that I needed. Everything went smoothly as I had gone through this procedure 5 or so years back. Although last time the staff didn't forget to leave a steel needle with a plastic tube stuck in my arm as they told me I could leave. Luckily I felt a pinch in my arm as I tried to exit the buildings front door. As for as the electrode nodes that were stuck all over my body so that the staff could get an electronic reading for their computers: Am I supposed to take them off or is the staff supposed to take them off? I ripped them off when I got home without any instruction on how to do so. I felt 2 in the evening which I had missed earlier that day and 2 more in the morning when I went to take a shower, which I promptly pull off of my body. Very slow on getting the results. Initially said the MRI will be ready in 2-3 business days. It's been 12 business days later and my doctor still hasn't received the report. I started calling on 4th day and all I was getting for a reply was that it is not ready and will be ready today. Of course it wasn't ready even 7 days after. I requested to speak to a manger, but she was very very rude and couldn't even give me a reason except she has to call radiologist. If you have other MRI offices in the area, I would advise to go there, because in this one waiting for a results with the personnel who doesn't care at all can lead to serious implications on your injury.

On my mothers visit to Verrazano Radiology is was embarrassed by the way the assistant talked to my mother. When she came to the waiting room she talked to my mother and explained to her about her test. She spoke so load that every one could here her. When my mother talked to her in a low voice she said she couldn??????t hear her. My mother was embarrassed about her condition. When my mother told her problem the assistant said with a laugh we have people like you get this do all the time. Can't they talk to the patients in private? Don't they explain the HEPA Law to their staff?
I told my mother's doctor about her experience. He will now send her to another facility that respects people??????s privacy.
The assistant was in her late 40's with dark hair. If she waits on you ask her to speak to you in private!

This is like the department store of radiology. I have been going here for ten years even though they were under another name. Every type of MRI. scan mammography is done here. You can get an appointment rather quickly. Waiting time is from 15 minutes to 45 minutes. They are usually pretty close to schedule. Xrays you can justt walk in and don;t have to make an appointment.
