not the most personalized of service‎
but, it is a chain so it does have some standards. Got turnedon to them by the place in Santa Clara where we got out dogs. Called for a complimentary exam. Basically a way for them to get new clients.‎

Excellent Service and Care
I have been taking my cats to Mission San Jose Vets for years and have always had excellent care. Two years ago my cat was diagnosed with cronic kidney problems and Dr. Chen went out of her way to help me with my cat. The whole staff treated my cat as family and when she'd have to stay over they were extremely loving and caring. I'm so grateful to them for the services provided.

Lack of compassion for owners by Beagle B. at InsiderPages
I would have to agree with the views of those who felt that they were second rate citizens. Each time I go there I'm hardly acknowledged. The Vets are good, however the front staff, 1 in particular, needs some customer service classes. The last straw was I brought my dog in on Saturday morning after spending Friday evening at the Ohlone emergency hospital next door. My dog had stablized Friday evening, but started to have her breathing problems again the next morning. When I arrived, they made me wait so they can make copies and finish the paperwork for another customer. After 10 minutes, when they couldn't give me an ETA on when my dog would be seen or at least checked out by the vet, I left and brought my dog to Ohlone Hospital next door. When I brought her to Ohlone, they scooped her up and evaluated her immediately. Unfortunately my dog passed away later that evening, but at least she was tended by staff that cared.

MSJ care by Aaron M. at InsiderPages
Since moving to the Mission area I have taken Attila to MSJ Animal Hospital. First of all they board red dot animals, animals that have been aggressive. My kitty was abused by another vet and since then she was aggressive to anyone other than family. Attila's illness grew worse and after many emails medications and conversations with Dr. Chen we finally decided it was time to put her to sleep. This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make. Once the staff realized what my office visit was for they immediately moved us into a room and allowed us to spend a few final minutes together. Dr. Chen and the staff were great understanding what I was going through. They made the best of a painful situation. To say the least if we ever decide to adopt again we will be going back to MSJ Animal Hospital.
