i found out it is an HMO
for 10+ years i went to and sent people to madera pet hospital in general and dr aj kallet in particular - i thought they and he were the cat's meow (i had a dog ) the front desk which often gets slammed was i thought fabulous, the care consideration and availability of dr kallet was great , so why have i changed my mind and is this all just sour grapes? -
my magnificent brown standard poodle MOJO strongin was put to death this january on a metal gurney in a ER in san francisco - the worst way for anyone to have to say good by to a beloved creature -
MOJO had a benign but locally aggressive tumor in his jaw - he was in no pain, running and playing and eating and slurping big bowls of water - he was 10 years and 8 months old - the biggest standard poodle you have seen, if you have been in Mill valley you might remember him -
i trusted dr kallet, he trusted dr lommer (forever now Queen Melinda) we did an MRI - dr kallet told me that it showed some activity but nothing major, then the queen said she needed to remove MOJO's upper left jaw (caudel maxillary) i asked questions, expressed concern and was not happy with a major surgery but wrongfully went along with dr kallet's advice, so ultimately the fault is mine - queen melinda operated, she did a second UNAUTHORIZED operation 5 days later at madera (i had brought him in for fluids) dr kallet was out of the office, perhaps if he had been in.......the dr.'s had good intentions but horrible follow thru - wish i had more space -
please beware of aggressive surgeries for your animals, insist on time and information, go slow before beforehand -ask for second opinions - sloooow down
i had been called an A+ client - because of that, because i didn't question enough and demand help loud enough (MOJO collapsed on the ground 2 days after his second unauthorized surgery and i was told he was tired - to let him sleep) my MOJO is gone -
i am out of room, contact me if you want more info - use caution at madera
