Assembly required by Lori R. at InsiderPages
We purchased several curios and a dining room set when they were on sale. I normally shun discount furniture stores, but we liked the pieces better than what we had seen at twice the price elsewhere. I question the people who assemble the furniture before it is delivered - one of our dining chairs was assembled wrong where the seat wasn't attached to the frame, and the frame was cracked. We didn't notice until it fell apart after a week of normal use. They delivered a replacement. After a month, I noticed the chairs were all loose, except the new one; checking them revealed that the new one had been assembled using locking washers, whereas the other 3 were missing the locking washers. We bought a pack of washers and I installed them, which has helped with the problem of loosening.
We also had a problem with one of the curios - it was either missing the glass shelves before they delivered it, or they all broke (which is what we were told). When the replacement shelves arrived, the box was missing a shelf. After numerous phone calls, we told them we just wanted to come get a shelf from the floor display, as they don't seem well organized and can't do anything without talking to at least 3 other people.
I would be very careful when buying furniture here - there are some good pieces, and it's not all low quality. Be sure to inspect it carefully before the delivery men leave, and always ask for the instructions. I'm not sure I would have bought the dining set if I knew you had to periodically check the bolts.
