I don't know why I ever bother going to other places like sports authority or big5. Valley always has what I'm looking for or can get it for me and their prices are just as good as anywhere else including online (I'm a pretty frugal shopper and like a good deal). The clerk I was speaking to recently actually knew what he was talking about when it came to skis. I got the best deal on the most comfortable set of boots I've had in 20+ years. Also, they've added more golf stuff recently and have some people that are really knowledgeable. The store doesn't have as much personality as the old downtown location, but it's much easier to find parking. It is good to know there are still great community stores like Valley!‎

I have been going to VSG for years and for most things (like my wakeboard and snowboard) I knew exactly what I was needed so I didn't really need help. When I went in there needing help regarding tennis strings they weren't very helpful. I am just getting into tennis so I didn't really know too much about it. There were two employees throwing around a football while I was wandering around aimlessly looking for strings that would work for me. I ended up just grabbing some not knowing if they would be the best ones for my situation. They were very quick on getting my racquets restrung so that was a plus.‎

This store is small so it doesn't really have a good selection. The prices are fair and the staff is helpful. I got a back pack here and it has lasted me for years.
