If you are thinkig of using the Valley Child Guidance center for counseling for you kids think again. After countless hours of paperwork, phone calls, and coordination, I finally got a prescreening interview. The counselor was unethical, dismissive of the parent, and showed no concern for the prevailing issues affecting my child. Once she got my child alone she attempted to verify my information through my child, such as my place of employment, etc,. Throughout the interview she kept scowling and seemed very interested in finding something to report on. I made numerous attempts to redirect her to the issues at hand but she could not be bothered. I would suggest anyone who is considering counseling for their kids be caustious of Valley Child Guidance center. I decided that I would never allow them unmonitored access to my children. You are bound to leave them with more problems than you arrived with. Don't trust the staff their only interest is in getting into your child head and twisting it up more than it already is.
