Went in just looking for information and left with a kayak! Chris was very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. He asked questions to determine what kind of kayaking I wanted to do then showed me three kayaks he recommended. He did not try to sell me on lots of extras and answered all of my questions professionally (even the dumb ones!). This was the only kayak store I had been to where it felt comfortable to be in! Searched the web for the best deal on kayaks and UP Sports Kayaks was it. Great discounts on kayak packages with a large selection of colors in stock. Kayak shipped for free and arrived quickly in perfect condition. Chris was very knowledgeable and helped me choose the best kayak for me! We will be ordering a kayak for my wife in the near future. UP Sports has my business for life.

Keeps advertising "free shipping" but shipping was starred without details.
We emailed back and forth two times and I asked how to get the free shipping, Chris the manager told me to take my business else where because he was too busy to deal with me and he could tell I "was going to be trouble".

I called to apologies if I had some how offended him and wished him good luck with his business.... then I went to REI

I was looking for a kayak and call UP Sports and a few other kayak stores in Orange County. The customer service associates were very friendly and professional on the telephone. I visited the store the next day to take a look at the kayaks. They had a large selection of kayaks and accessories available. The staff was very knowledgeable and honest. They did not try to "up sell" me on a lot of gear (like the other stores did). I ended up purchasing a kayak before I left and I have been very happy with all the gear. If you have questions on kayaks or are looking to purchase any kayaking gear this is the place!
