In the social consciousness, fights and friendliness rarely are companions. Bu they are here. Every day. Come on it and meet the owner of Undisputed, David Ventura. Thirty-three years old and boxing since he was thirteen. This gym is the best I have ever seen. Friendly and it has everything you need to get into condition, learn box, or any other martial arts available. The instructors are world renowned, and can teach anyone, and they teach with discipline to increase physical skill, conditioning and spiritual development.

Also, and this is really cool, this is really a family gym. Who would have thought that? But it is. From young to old you are welcomed with open arms. I have been in gyms for over 50 years, and this is absolutely the best.

As for being a mom and pop shop, David is being rather literal. Not only does he want Undisputed to be a part of the community, his actual family comes in to help with the day to day upkeep. A fluid continuation of his lifestyle; as a teenager he took up boxing so that he could protect his four sisters. He only got into a few fights, but the art of boxing did become a love of his, since he finds it to increase personal character along with strength. And now, years later, some of his classes cater to children so that he can pass on what he discovered: that by learning boxing or a martial art, you can lead a confident and healthy lifestyle. This gym specializing in MMA and the workouts will either make you want to vomit or close to it!! It's located on off of University and parking can be a little bit hard to find. Once you're up to it you can even spar in the boxing ring with other gym members.

My friend and I (both in the military) trained here for about 6 months. We were told by RJ, one of the co-owners, that there would be no problem canceling our membership for when we go on deployment. Deployment time came, so we went in to cancel our memberships. We went back to talk to them figuring they'd fix it (or at least compensate us). Instead, they had their own story, saying that they remembered distinctly what we had said, and that we never wanted to cancel with them. Which is funny considering that before I left that day, they had us fill out a sheet to cancel. I've been on a first name basis with several employees for the majority of the time that I've been there (including RJ) and to think they'd pull some bs like this is ridiculous.

Other than that, the place is really nice, they have a good muay thai instructor. I did not train with the Jiu-Jitsu instructor. It is a nice gym though. There's no way I'd EVER recommend a friend of mine to go there.

So now I'm disputing this issue with my credit card company which I'm sure I'll win this battle, but this is setting me back around $340 for now.
