Like a hotel! by Elayna N. at InsiderPages

UCSD Thornton Hospital is one of the nicest hospitals around!! The rooms are spacious and are decorated like hotel rooms. The staff is friendly and caring and usually you can get into the ER to see a doctor pretty quickly. There is a cafeteria that serves okay food. I would recommend getting the deal which is a sandwich and a side and a drink for $5.81. The grill is the safest bet. Overall, this place is nice and the staff is very helpful
