BEWARE. We placed our belongings in Storage in September of '09. Paid our storage on time and in September 2011, we stopped by to place a few items in storage and our belongings were missing. We found out from the police officer, a few days later that uhaul auctioned off our belongings. Due to lack of controls to protect uhauls customers and their belongings, our items are gone forever. We received zero information from Uhaul and the store manager never once showed any concern for our loss. He actually drilled the lock on our unit prior to asking for proof of our identity. In fact, the first person to ask for proof of identity was the police officer that came out to do the report. I called the police not uhaul. As of today, 12/6/11, two months after we found our items missing, we are still trying to resolve this issue with Uhauls insurance company RepWest. They are not only rude and uncooperative, they are saying their customer Uhaul, is not 100% responsible. We have had to retain an attorney.
