I ended up not buying anything in this store because the staff was so incredibly rude. When I walked in, a staff person shoved a tray at me and growled that I had to use it even though I said I was just looking. A staff person followed me around like I was a criminal. Considering the extensive video surveillance they have installed, I felt that the close personal supervision was over the top.

I understand that U Bead It carries some things that no one else in town has so if you must, go there, but don't expect to have a good time.

Pros: Good selection of beads and supplies
Cons: Rude staff

a 2 room store, nice selection. first visit i arrived 30 min before closing and cashier yelled "we're closing!" i found that very rood and unfriendly. second visit cashier was still unfriendly and stared at me as if i were to steel from the store. since i was new to the store i asked the girl some questions and she responded as if i came from a different planet.....finally just left the store ...not going back

The selection of faceted beads has gotten a lot smaller- quality not so great.

I too have had trouble w/staff not being friendly- as well as getting the wrong shape of ss wire from the clerk behind the counter- let me tell you it was impossible to return it. When I brought it back the clerk gave me the owners phone number to call. So I just took the loss.
I went back again and was again dissatisfied...I now have two bags of french earwires that keep breaking when I try to open the loops- and I'm concerned I'm going to have trouble again with trying to return them...

This is one of my favorite bead stores! Great selection on seed beads for a very low price in all of Sacramento. The other beads are priced better than other stores for the amount you get, but they can get pretty pricey unless you catch them on a sale. The sales are really good (ie.. 50% off) Some of the staff is nice, but on the whole not very talkative or helpful to the customer and not very knowledgeable about beading projects. This is a great store if you already know what you need for your beading needs.

This store has a nice selection of seed beads. They offer lots of samples of jewelry and have classes. The staff was rude during my entire visit. I felt like I was being followed like a suspicious teenager and two staff members held a lengthy personal conversation while I was waiting to be checked out.
