TPY is an oasis of good people, great energy and a studio where everyone walks out smiling at the end of each class. Finding a studio is a highly personal decision and I was looking for a place where there was a mix of the spiritual and the physical and where I felt I was among friends. I found it here. It's that presence in the moment and an overall positive energy that also makes this such a special place. There is a genuine love and compassion that permeates the place. After a near death horrific motorcycle accident in 1978, one year in a wheelchair, 10 year of physical therapy resulting in a 1992 state champion soccer comeback, old man tightness caught me . even surfing (40 years worth) became so painful, i could not go on. deep tissue to the bone marrow massage therapy 3 times weekly, Dr. visit/pain medications, chiropractor/ desperation, all did little but gloss over the issue (tissue). I have tried almost every type of workout under the South Florida Sun...from private personal training to adult gymnastics classes and no matter for what length of time I would never ever break a sweat! I always thought of yoga as some kind of glorified stretching class (aka slow and boring) and definitely nothing that would ever come close to burning a calorie, let alone make me break a sweat. Twin Power Yoga definitely rocked my world! Not only am I sweating for the first time in my life, but I walk away from my practice invigorated, rather than depleted as I did so many times after leaving the gym. Working out can be fun and getting results like a better physique, greater strength and flexibility is the icing on my gluten-free Savasana cake!‎

I always thought of Yoga as slow, boring and a poor excuse for a good work-out. I then found Twin Power Yoga and had to laugh after my first power vinyasa. Twin Power Yoga is for people with courage and humility! Every part of my body that was resisitant, closed and screaming for help was awakened to a new breath of life. I have spent time in the east and studied with many Masters from India, and when I first walked into the Twins studio It had the feel of an Ashram. Such amazing calm energy . The same energy that the Masters bring wherever they go. I am a long time Yogic meditation Instructor and I was fortunate to watch them teach . They are the best yoga teachers that I have seen in South Florida in the past 10 years. We are all so blessed to have this mini ashram to practice yoga.‎
