True Love Tattoo is by far my favorite shop for many, many reasons!

LOCATION: centrally located in Berkeley, close to freeway access, in a good neighborhood. The kind of spot where you can park your car and not have to worry about it!

THE ARTISTS: Everyone in the shop are truely artists, involved in music, sculpture, painting, etc. They are amazing at what they do, and they take pride in their profession.

THE RATES: Incredibly reasonable for how high quality their work is.

THE SHOP: Clean, heady place with warm colored walls, art everywhere, and overall uplifting vibe. From day one I have never felt uncomfortable in the shop. Music is always on, but not at a level where you become annoyed.

Dave Moore in particular who does my work, has an incredible talent and attention to detail. He has a very light hand. a knack for shading, and an undeniable eye for color. I have never left a session without being on awe of the work he just did.

From top to bottom, True Love Tattoo embodies everything a tattoo shop should be. I highly recommend them to anyone who has a passion for tattoos or is considering getting their first one.

This review is written from the perspective of someone getting their first tattoo. It?s easy to get a bad tattoo but getting a top notch tattoo your first time out can be quite the challenge. Dave Moore of True Love Tattoo in Berkley delivered and then some. Being my first tattoo I did not know all the lingo or the exact way to convey what I wanted but I placed my basic idea on a tee and Dave was able to knock it out of the park. His imagination and creativity exceeded my expectations. His flawless line work, intricate shading and imaginative color choices were more than I hoped for. Equally impressive is the shop atmosphere, True Love Tattoo is a un-intimidating, friendly climate. If you looking for a top notch custom tattoo in chill environment due yourself a favor and go in and make an appointment. You wont be disappointed, I?m not.

The tattoo artists at True Love are the best. They were completely understanding of my situation and helped me through it. My first tattoo came with a lot of aprehension - they held my hand and got everything done as fast as possible with the least amount of pain. Very professional work! I was especially pleased with the fair pricing and large selection of stencils to choose from.

I adore true love, i have had 3 of my tattoos done there and don't think i would go any where else,they are the most talented guys and very friendly, heck there is even parking at there new location
