The Truckee River Rafting was one of the best experiences that I have ever had on a vacation. The rafts are safe and secure. The river is calm; the biggest challenge is steering and trying to get unstuck from the rocks in the water which is an adventure in itself. Trying to get unstuck from the rocks is a lot of fun especially when people in the raft have to get out and push or another raft has to bump you out. There are plenty of places you can stop along the river and have lunch, sun bath, or swim in the river. The very end of the river is where the rapids start. They are calm enough for beginners, but very thrilling too. You will get wet! It was a great day and I highly recommend it to families!
