Not impressed... by Jenn F. at InsiderPages
This practice/doctor seemed to be trying to handle more patients than it was really capable of doing. Making appointments was a long, difficult process. Once in the office, I was dismayed at the number of pharmaceutical reps I saw, there had to have been at least 10-12 in the time I waited.
Once I got in to see Dr Shelton, she was very pleasant and seemed caring, however I didn't feel that she was listening to anything I was saying. I had a sinus infection, and though I mentioned quite a few times that I was still nursing, she prescribed me an antibiotic that wasn't safe while breastfeeding. That resulted in my having to call back and leave a message to get a new Rx called in (which she did very quickly, however no one ever told me it had been taken care of so I had to keep calling the pharmacy to check). Also, the 2 meds she wrote for me were both name brand, 3rd tier meds with no generics available - obviously all the pharm reps had quite a bit of influence.
Overall, I did not feel that my needs were met, that I was listened to, or that my interests came first. I have not gone back.
