I avoided grocery shopping until the last minute and it had to be a Fri - after work - and pay day. This is the closest TJ's on my way home from work so decided to bare the crowds and traffic.

This TJ's is kind of distant from the freeway. It's off the 15N Center City Parkway exit about 2 miles north.

I drive into the parking lot and find tons of parking. Hmmm...

I walk into the clean and spacious store and no crowds at all. Either I must have lucked out or this TJs do not get the crowds as the other stores do.

There were several employees that went around and asked if you needed help finding anything, which was awesome since I had no clue where some of my staple items were located.

Upon checkout, I noticed the various "characters" at each station - from piercings to crazy colored hair to 80s lookin' make up. Is it Halloween?!

Despite this oddity, it doesn't reflect on their customer service and their relationship with the customers.

This is the best place to shop, in Escondido, for vegetarians. I strongly recommend it.

There's a great selection of food out there. The store isn't that big (even after their recent expansion), but I'm always able to find everything that I'm looking for. This is clearly the best place for heathy food in Escondido.

The prices on everything except for produce and vitamins are super cheep. And they don't sell second rate stuff. Everything is of high quality, but is at very reasonable prices.

They also have a great selection of wine. They have super cheep wine, as well as expensive stuff. And they have every type of wine I know of (which alas isn't saying a lot, though).

Everyone that lives is Escondido should at least check this place out once or twice.

I was sooooo happy when TJ's came to Escondido. They sell good, wholesome food at (usually) reasonable prices. Not a one stop shop, but my pick for most of life's essentials. I especially like the low cost organic dairy.

Love the store. I am a vegetarian and I found so many food options for me there. Love their organic juice. Lots of variety among fresh organic fruits and veggies as well.
