You know how you feel dirty when you leave Wal-Mart? You will
You know how you feel dirty when you leave Wal-Mart? You will feel like taking an acid bath after leaving this Toy's R Us. The place is a mess! Every time I go into this store there is trash all over the parking lot, and there are toys ALL over the store. It's difficult to even get your cart around because of the boxes and opened toys everywhere. I would give it 0 stars just based on this. I thought I would give them one more try because I needed a quick gift for my son and they had what I thought was a great price on it. Here is what happened:
I found the item on the Toys R Us web site, but I thought I could get it quicker at the store, so I called the Azusa store to see if it was in stock. I called two times and they must have been busy because they would pick up the phone and then hang it up. Lucky me, I got through on the third try. The guy in electronics tells me that they do have it in the color I want and that it is $50.00. I say their store has it online for $25.00. He tells me to print it out and to bring it in and they will honor that price. That evening I drive 40 minutes to their store, go to electronics and the night staff has it behind the counter waiting for me. They say they can't honor the price, I have to go to customer service. So I go, and they say no. I ask for the manager and am told he is on his lunch break, and will be back in 10 minutes. I wait. 15 minutes. The girl behind the counter says she called him and he said no. I say he knows I am waiting, why doesn't he come out? It's like he is afraid the tell me no to my face. He walks up and I tell him the situation while he constantly LOOKS AT HIS WATCH! I ask him if he needs to be somewhere else and he just stares at me. He says they can't honor what his employee told me. He then calls the guy on the intercom to find out if he is the one who told me that and finds out that this is the night crew, not the day crew. I ask him if he thinks I am lying. He says no, he thinks I called another store. I tell him they were holding it behind the counter, so it can't be the wrong store. I ask him why would I print out the thing and then drive 40 minutes if I made this up? He says he still can't honor it. I tell him I will never come to his store again, and he TURNS HIS BACK ON ME.
Now, let's say this store is clean, they have reasonable prices, and their employees are friendly, I may give it a chance, but it is none of the above. This place is a dump and I literally would not feel safe bringing my kids here. I don't know who trained this guy, but he should be managing a KwikEMart, not a toy store. Then again, I wouldn't trust him with my Slushee.
Do yourself a favor, buy your toys at Target. They know how to treat customers!
